Learning at Griffin State School commences at 8:55am and finishes at 3:00pm each school day. Our bell times are listed below for your information.
8:20am First Bell
8:50am Learners go to the toilet and move to their classroom
8:55am Learning Begins
11:00am First break - Play time
11:30am First break - Eating
11:40am Learners go to the toilet, get a drink and move to their classrooms
11:45am Start of second session
1:10pm Second break - Play time
1:35pm Second break - Eating
1:45pm End of second break. Learners go to the classroom, get a drink and move to their classroom
1:45pm Start of third session
3:00pm End of the school day
Limited supervision is available before school from 8:20am. Learners are asked to wait in the designated waiting area for their year level prior to the 8:50am bell ringing in the morning which indicates that it is time to move to classrooms ready for learning. Learners are also welcome to sit and wait with the parents/caregivers prior to the school day commencing. Please note that all playgrounds are out-of-bounds before and after school.
