Some of our great facilities include:
Hall – Our Hall was completed in late 2017, and has been a gathering place, as well as a place of celebration for our Griffin community ever since. As you enter through the foyer, you will see a red carpet running the length of the Hall, as though you were walking into the 'Aria Awards' or 'Golden Logies.' A fully carpeted space, the hall is ideal for a myriad of activities including assemblies, performances and events.
With its' own kitchen, conference room and bathroom facilities, the Hall has been built with functionality in mind. It has also been fitted with up to date Audio Visual equipment and stage lighting making for a more immersive and engaging experience.
Our P&C has fundraised to purchase new chairs and furniture, to make our space as inviting and comfortable as possible.

Sporting Oval – Our sporting oval is large enough to host an array of sporting activities. We have sporting equipment suitable for learners to engage in outside play, as well as for use by our many sporting teams.
Junior and Senior Play Structures – Our learners have access to play structures and equipment during lunch times to encourage safe play:
Prep Playground – The early years' playground, accessed only by our prep students, was specifically created with young learners in mind. It includes equipment that has safety at the forefront and encourages play that assists in improving fine motor skills, coordination, sharing and teamwork.
Senior Playground - Our brand new senior playground has been thoughtfully and purposely built with our learners in mind. In 2019, some of our fantastic year 4 learners brainstormed what they wanted in a playground. These ideas helped to shape our new play space which includes a climbing frame, imaginative play spaces, exercise equipment, handball courts, an ampithetre and a single use trampoline.
LightHouse Café – Our school canteen is run by our wonderful P&C. Orders can be made online through Qkr!
Modern Classrooms – the Classrooms at Griffin State School have been designed with learner success in mind, each one hosting a range of ICT's and engaging resources that enhance learning.
Opened in 2019/2020, we have 2 new double story buildings, which include classrooms, as well as outdoor learning spaces.
Resource Centre – Our library functions as a vibrant and interesting learning space. The facility was developed as part of the Building Education Revolution and has state of the art technology facilities including a Multimedia Green room for recording, interactive technology spaces as well as traditional reading spaces. It is resource rich and provides the information and resources (including digital) to meet the learning needs of our students. It is a meeting place for the traditional and the technological, and both elements are encouraged and supported.
In the resource centre we have the following collections available for borrowing: Non Fiction Collection; Fiction Collection; Junior Fiction Collection; Junior Non Fiction Collection and 'An Easy Reads' (Early Chapter Books) Collection.
The lunch time activities on offer to our learners in the Resource Centre include: Lego, Drawing, Reading, Duplo, Board Games, Puzzles and a large Chess set.
