At Griffin State School parents are valued as their child's first teachers and each staff member is committed to embracing parents as genuine partners in the learning of their child.
Learning@Home presents a wonderful opportunity for learners to share the learning happening at school with their family and create a joy in learning between home and school. Learners from Prep to Year Six will participate in Learning@Home each week which is suitable and appropriate for their year level. Learning @Home will differ in each classroom, but will have some common elements including:
- English focus - reading, reading, reading!!
- Mathematics focus
- Family focus - spending time with family, physical activity, helping around the house etc.
Learning @Home is aimed to allow learners the opportunity to practise concepts learned in class. Where your child is experiencing difficulty with their Learning@Home, please make contact to discuss with your child's class teacher.
