Opening Days and Times
Full menu is available to order both breaks Monday - Friday.
Prep ordering commences in term 1, week 6.
Break times are: 1st break - 11:25 and 2nd break - 1:30pm
Grades 1-6 Learners can also purchase snacks, ice-creams and slushys for cash during break times. Treats from 50c!
Lunch orders are taken online via Qkr! which is available to download onto your smartphone for free: Qkr! for iPhone or Qkr! for Android

orders cut off at 8.30am on the day when the lunch order is required. We also have a limited late order menu available if you miss the 8.30am
cut off, please note these orders will be delivered at 2nd break only. Lunches can be pre-ordered up to 2 weeks in

Our café relies on volunteers to operate successfully and produce all these delicious foods for our kids. A lot is homemade from scratch.
Each class is rostered to volunteer for a week in the café - Would you like to help win your child's class a special party lunch? Each class is rostered to volunteer for a week in the café throughout the year. The two classes with the most volunteers on their rostered week will win a class party at the end of the year!
Sign up when you can make it here https://signup.com/go/bLtNDyh so we know when to expect you or call into the Cafe to pop your name down. Helping with young Children - Unfortunately, due to stricter policies from department of education we won't be able to have children under 10 years in the Café.
Even our senior year 6 students are getting into the volunteer spirit. They sell snacks at break times.

Allergies
Please notify “CHILD WITH ALLERGIES" on all orders. This will assist us with our food preparation, handling & in the case of substituting foods.
Substitutions
Occasionally, we may need to substitute food items. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and can assure you of our best intentions always, we will always attempt to accommodate the needs of the children.
Special Food Days
Special Food Days are days when the Lighthouse Cafe offers 'special' food items. These are occasions when the students are offered either red food items (i.e. 'sometimes food' as outlined by QLD ed. Department) or foods that are not usually offered by the Lighthouse Cafe e.g. sushi. Please Note: What is being offered on a special food day will be announced at least 2 weeks prior and orders for special food days need to be in by the cut - off date, usually 2 days before as orders cannot be placed on the day.
Smart Choices
Our menu has lots of yummy & fun (although healthy) meals for our learners. Smart choices guidelines MUST be used offering healthy food and drink choices. All food and drinks are categorised into three groups based on how nutritious they are:
Green – these food and drinks are an excellent source of important nutrients.
Amber – these food and drinks have some sugar, fat or salt added during processing.
Red – these food and drinks have very little nutritional value.
